The Sahara Refund Portal was launched on July 18, 2023, by the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS), Government of India.
The portal aims to distribute Rs 5000 crore to authorized members of Sahara Group’s cooperative societies.
It follows a Supreme Court ruling that allows Sahara depositors to reclaim their investments through the user-friendly portal.
Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah unveiled the portal in New Delhi to benefit 10 crore depositors.
The refund process is linked to depositors' Aadhaar numbers, mobile phones, and bank accounts.
After providing receipt details and filling out the form, the refund process begins, and the money is deposited within 45 days.
Eligible depositors can access the Sahara Refund Portal at https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/Depositor/Login.
